On 24.05.2022 we held the ground-breaking ceremony for our new construction project in Ammerthal.
On behalf of Glasfaser Direkt, fibre-optic connections are being installed in Ammerthal as well as neighbouring villages.

The network construction predominantly involves the laying of multi-tube fibre optic systems (MRVs) in the pavements, including the laying of individual micro-ducts onto properties, as well as the blowing in of fibre optic cables and the construction of feeder routes (backbone). The above-ground components, namely network distributors (NVt) and multi-function enclosures (MFG) for the points of presence (PoP), also form part of the fibre optic network.

The network construction is carried out as FTTF. This means that for addresses without a customer order or without GEE, provided it is feasible or economically viable, a pre-extension is built up to the private property boundary.

According to the preliminary planning, the total route length is approximately 40 km.
