Groundbreaking ceremony for connecting households to the fibre-optic network in Hasel

Yesterday marked the ground-breaking ceremony for the expansion of broadband provision in Hasel. Civil engineering work, which will be followed by the construction of the duct network and the blowing in of fibre-optic cables, has thus begun.
This year, the work covers the areas of Schulstraße, Hauptstraße and Hofstraße, as well as a section of Glashütter Straße.
The houses that have previously received their electricity via an overhead line will now, if desired, be given an underground cable connection through which they will soon be able to obtain their electricity. For the first construction phase alone, seven kilometres of cable would be laid in the ground.
